track loading may be missing data

I check my tracker on one of my phones often and usually it says the last reading was within the last 2 min (as expected), however when I download the points to a csv, i find there are long gaps.. sometimes hours.. I know that GPS receptions is poor in some locations (some buildings, etc) but it SEEMS like the web interface shows an active reading but the download does not. Is this expected?

Yes, this is expected. A track can be displayed only if the recorded track points are GPS points. If the GPS signal is bad, the tracker will still try to show the current location by using the network location, but this location will not be saved in the track history, because network location is not accurate enought.
