Remotely activitating wi-fi for network location searches

hi google network location determination use visible wi-fi networks to narrow down the network based location, this often provides a better location fix in vinicity that has them e.g. shopping malls, coffee joints etc

however, leaving wi-fi on on the tracker device saps battery quickly and hence it is normally turned off.
kindly provide a feature that allows the remote person to send wifi-on and wifi-off command via the friends page. e.g. long press for the menu and selecting it (preferably in a closed loop, i.e. gps tracker send a feedback message after enabling / disabling wi-fi remotely)

i'd think this could also be part of the 'control network status' option/switch
