Location Tracking via mobile towers

Post by z211971 »

Occasionally, my partner's GPS gets switched off. Can you have RTT2 switch to the mobile phone company towers for location , but a a lower degree of accuracy?

This is already included. If the device is configured to allow network locations the tracker will use this information if no GPS is available.

Doesn't happen. How can I change RTT2 settings to ensure mobile settings work?

If you have set a valid network location update interval it should work out of the box. If it does not work it is likely that there is a problem with the device. Does Google Maps work on the device?

Yes, Google Maps works. Also, the "Get LOcation" remot3e function returns the location, but does not update after the GPS interval lapses.

It switches to the fall-back after about 5 minutes. Have you tried to wait for 10 minutes or longer?
