Hi,
I would like the following option to be added.
(1) GPS automatically switches off after e.g. 5x no signal
Somehow I cannot get this working with the current version
(2) GPS is automatically switched on after movement of device is detected using e.g. accelerometer info (device dependent)
OR using the normal cell phone network info (not device dependent)
(e.g. GPS is switched on after network signal shows movement of > 40 m).
I think this could save a lot of battery consumption.

Re: Disable GPS when no GPS reception
Hi,
1.) You cannot permanently switch off, but you can switch off for an interval. Have a look at the GPS timeout settings.
2.) This is also possible (again in the GPS timeout settings). However, in my tests I could not save much battery, because monitoring movement also needs battery. So this option is disabled by default. If I have time I will search for optimizations concerning movement detection.

I will think about that. I like the idea.GPS is switched on after network signal shows movement of > 40 m

Re: Disable GPS when no GPS reception
This feature is now implemented. You can enable movement monitor in gps timeout handling, and set movement monitor measuring method to "network location" change. If you need more detailled instructions please let me know.GPS is switched on after network signal shows movement of > 40 m
