Hi,
A growing issue with people the own narrow boats and caravans is the vehicle being taken by theft.
Using a phone with the tracker app geo fenced seems a great idea but, is the fence set on the app or your server. This is important for the amount of data used in monitoring the position phone.
1. Can the app be set to monitor its location and only send data when it moves outside the fenced area.
2. Once the phone is outside the fence can we increase the update rate so we get a more up to date location.
If it will work from the app then the running costs for data will be reduced and will make a great security system
I look forward to a reply
Steve

Re: Geo fencing data updates
Hi,
The tracker cannot exactly provide what you are suggesting, and you cannot configure an update interval depending on the location. But there are a few features that could be useful to you.
If data usage is an issue, you could open the expert settings and configure a minimum distance the device has to be moved before it sends coordinates.
There is also a geofencing feature which sends you an alert if the phone leaves the specified area. Please note that the Geofence feature is non-free.
Generally I also want to mention that this tracker actually was not designed for security issues, so there is no guarantee that everything is working as expected (but normally it does ).
